Uno de esos esclavos fue Briseida, una hermosa troyana de la que Aquiles se enamor\u00f3 perdidamente pero que le fue arrebatada por Agamen\u00f3n, hermano de Menelao y comandante del ej\u00e9rcito espartano.<\/p>\n<p>Profundamente dolido, Aquiles se retir\u00f3 de la contienda, lo que caus\u00f3 gran preocupaci\u00f3n en las filas espartanas. Patroclo, el mejor amigo de Aquiles, trat\u00f3 de convencerlo de que volviera al combate, pero lo \u00fanico que logr\u00f3 fue que Aquiles le prestara su armadura para intimidar con ella a los troyanos, quienes sent\u00edan un gran temor por las centelleantes vestiduras de guerra de este combatiente legendario. Cuando Patroclo encabez\u00f3 las filas espartanas vistiendo la armadura de Aquiles, los soldados troyanos se apartaron, pensando que se trataba del mismo Aquiles en persona. El \u00fanico que se atrevi\u00f3 a hacerle frente fue el h\u00e9roe troyano H\u00e9ctor, quien le dio muerte al infortunado Patroclo en un limpio combate.<\/p>\n<p>En cuanto Aquiles supo de la muerte de su querido y entra\u00f1able Patroclo se llen\u00f3 de ira contra H\u00e9ctor y lo enfrent\u00f3 en una feroz pelea a muerte, de la que sali\u00f3 vencedor.<a href=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/hector-y-aquiles-fragmento-de-la-iliada\/guerra\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-10625\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-10625 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/guerra-300x135.jpg\" alt=\"la Il\u00edada\" width=\"300\" height=\"135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/guerra-300x135.jpg 300w, https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/guerra.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fue tan b\u00e1rbaro este combate, que una vez muerto H\u00e9ctor Aquiles at\u00f3 el cad\u00e1ver del valeroso troyano a su carruaje y lo arrastr\u00f3 salvajemente por el suelo a la vista de todos, a manera de escarmiento. El dolor de los troyanos fue grande, todos miraban con l\u00e1grimas en los ojos la humillaci\u00f3n a la que era sometido su h\u00e9roe derrotado.<\/p>\n<p>El que m\u00e1s sufri\u00f3 fue el rey Pr\u00edamo, su anciano padre, quien, desafiando la muerte le rog\u00f3 a Aquiles que le devolviera el cad\u00e1ver de su hijo para darle sepultura.
