Un muro de agua de 12 metros de alto y que se desplazaba a 64 kil\u00f3metros por hora se precipit\u00f3 sobre el valle hacia la ciudad de Johnstown.<\/p>\n<p>El torrente cogi\u00f3 a su paso edificaciones, animales y seres humanos, lanz\u00e1ndolos estrepitosamente por el canal de desag\u00fce. Cuando el lago se vaci\u00f3, los escombros cubr\u00edan un \u00e1rea de 121 kil\u00f3metros cuadrados y 2.209 personas perdieron la vida.<\/p>\n<p>Al principio, pasmados ante la p\u00e9rdida de sus posesiones y seres queridos, los sobrevivientes se sintieron impotentes. Pero m\u00e1s tarde, los l\u00edderes de la comunidad dieron discursos acerca de c\u00f3mo los pobladores pod\u00edan reconstruir la industria local y sus hogares.<a href=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/?attachment_id=1449\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1449\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1449\" title=\"Inundaci\u00f3n 2\" src=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Inundaci\u00f3n-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"289\" height=\"174\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Esto actu\u00f3 como un b\u00e1lsamo sanador, y los sobrevivientes pusieron manos a la obra con energ\u00eda. Johnstown fue reconstruida y hoy es una ciudad floreciente con una poblaci\u00f3n de 28.000 habitantes.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de una tr\u00e1gica p\u00e9rdida, debemos mirar los recursos y relaciones que todav\u00eda quedan y confiar en que Dios los usar\u00e1. En vez de ello, Rut se centr\u00f3 en Dios, sus relaciones y el futuro.
