Liszt (en muchos sentidos, un esp\u00edritu poco af\u00edn a Brahms) ya hab\u00eda compuesto la mayor parte de sus <em>Rapsodias h\u00fangaras<\/em> cuando Brahms comenz\u00f3, durante\u00a0 la d\u00e9cada de 1850, a arreglar una serie de piezas de baile que sol\u00edan\u00a0 ser interpretadas por violinistas en los caf\u00e9s de Budapest.<\/p>\n<p>Estos arreglos estaban destinados a ser interpretados al piano, pero con la publicaci\u00f3n de diez danzas en 1869 fueron adaptados a duetos de piano, resultando as\u00ed m\u00e1s atractivos para el mercado dom\u00e9stico. Animado por el \u00e9xito comercial de las diez primeras danzas, el editor Simrock convenci\u00f3 a Brahms para que preparase otra serie, que apareci\u00f3 en 1880.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/?attachment_id=1461\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1461\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1461\" title=\"Brahms 3\" src=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Brahms-31.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Las diez primeras <em>Danzas H\u00fangaras <\/em>se basan en gran medida en las populares zardas y otros estilizados bailes h\u00fangaros. Al igual que Liszt, Brahms utiliz\u00f3\u00a0 material procedente de la m\u00fasica de entretenimiento de la clase media en lugar de partir de la genuina m\u00fasica folcl\u00f3rica rural (como luego har\u00edan Bart\u00f3k y Kod\u00e1ly).
