Imagen RAQUEL VILLA\u00c9CIJA<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Cuando El MUNDO le entrevist\u00f3, el dibujante franc\u00e9s hizo una caricatura de s\u00ed mismo en la que escrib\u00eda: \u00ab<em>Hasta la victoria siempre<\/em>\u00bb y \u00ab<em>El humor o la muerte<\/em>\u00ab. Sin duda, un lema premonitorio de su tr\u00e1gico final, asesinado a balazos por unos hombres armados que han gritado: \u00ab<em>Vamos a vengar al profeta<\/em>\u00ab.<\/p>\n<p>Charbonnier, alias &#8216;Charb&#8217;, llevaba a\u00f1os en el ojo del hurac\u00e1n, desde que decidi\u00f3 publicar en 2006 unas vi\u00f1etas de Mahoma que ya le hab\u00edan costado amenazas al diario dan\u00e9s Jyllands-Posten. Lejos de amedrentarse y pese a las m\u00faltiples protestas y amenazas recibidas, &#8216;Chab&#8217; volvi\u00f3 a la carga el pasado oto\u00f1o con &#8216;Sharia hebdo&#8217;, un n\u00famero que desat\u00f3 la furia del islam radical.<\/p>\n<p>Desde entonces, viv\u00eda con un guardia de seguridad pegado a su solapa, lo que no ha podido evitar su muerte. \u00ab<em>Hab\u00eda que elegir entre la libertad de expresi\u00f3n y la de circulaci\u00f3n. Yo eleg\u00ed la primera<\/em>\u00ab, explicaba entonces el ilustrador.<\/p>\n<p>Charb cre\u00eda firmemente en la libertad de expresi\u00f3n y conoc\u00eda de cerca los enemigos que la acechan: la autocensura, los inversores y los fan\u00e1ticos: \u00ab<em>Hoy hay menos censura que antes, pero la autocensura es m\u00e1s fuerte. Muchos medios no hablan de determinados temas por temor a perder publicidad, a las cr\u00edticas o a ir a los tribunales. Son los propios medios los que renuncian a la libertad de expresi\u00f3n<\/em>\u00ab. Son los n\u00fameros los que tiran reportajes, no la palabra, denunciaba. Seg\u00fan Charb, era la econom\u00eda la que hab\u00eda \u00abmatado la libertad de expresi\u00f3n\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Para el director de &#8216;<strong>Charlie Hebdo&#8217;<\/strong>, la l\u00ednea entre la s\u00e1tira y la difamaci\u00f3n estaba clara. Seg\u00fan aseguraba, el semanario sat\u00edrico se re\u00eda de los militares, de los homosexuales, de Sarkozy y de Hollande, de Mahoma y de Cristo. Pero siempre sin acritud. Y con justicia. \u00ab<em>No decidimos ser provocadores, es la mirada de los otros la que marca la diferencia. No hay discriminaci\u00f3n.
