Mu\u00f1oz cita el caso asombroso de Viktor Korchnoi, el gran maestro en activo m\u00e1s veterano del circuito internacional. Korchnoi ha pasado de tener 2657 puntos Elo a 2500, pero sorprendentemente este nivel le permitir\u00e1 ser mejor siempre, mientras conserve la capacidad de jugar, que un ajedrecista de 2200 puntos Elo. Sus conocimientos y recursos est\u00e1n tan asentados que solo la muerte o una grave discapacidad se los arrebatar\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p>El excampe\u00f3n mundial Vladimir Kramnik hablaba hace poco en una excelente entrevista al diario ruso Sport Express (traducida por Chess24) sobre el torneo de Candidatos y citaba a Anand e incluso a Topalov, dos cuarentones, entre los jugadores que no se pod\u00edan descartar para el triunfo final. Ya gan\u00f3 en la \u00faltima edici\u00f3n, de hecho, ante el pasmo de muchos. Otros tres proceden de la d\u00e9cada de los setenta, Kramnik (actual n\u00famero dos, 1975), su archienemigo Topalov (1975) y Svidler (1976). Tres de ellos est\u00e1n disputando ahora el torneo de Candidatos en Mosc\u00fa, en un exclusivo grupo de ocho elegidos.
