La tomograf\u00eda cerebral de un enamorado revela que la zona que responde a la motivaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 saturada de dopamina, una sustancia que aparece en la sangre al sentir sensaciones agradables como al practicar el sexo, comer chocolate o que aparece al consumir drogas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El amor es un m\u00e9todo para sobrevivir<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En su libro &#8216;Viaje al amor&#8217; Eduardo Punset, el destacado divulgador de la ciencia en Espa\u00f1a, afirma que a pesar de que el amor se considera un acto de generosidad, en realidad es una contraprestaci\u00f3n de servicios para poder sobrevivir. Seg\u00fan el experto, el amor es un \u201cinstinto evolutivo de fusi\u00f3n con otro organismo\u201d, que apareci\u00f3 en el mundo vivo antes a\u00fan de la diferenciaci\u00f3n sexual. \u201cSin amor no hay vida\u201d, afirma.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El amor aparece en un instante<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos afirman que, para enamorarse, uno tarda solamente una quinta parte de un segundo. En este momento, doce zonas del cerebro liberan sustancias conjuntamente -tales como la noradrenalina, la dopamina, la oxitocina, la vasopresina-, que generan ese estado tan agradable. Estas hormonas nos hacen perder la cabeza, y adem\u00e1s, como todo sucede en un instante, nos dejan sin tiempo para pensar en lo que hacemos o sentimos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/?attachment_id=22459\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-22459\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22459\" src=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ciencia-y-amor-e1463314821224.jpg\" alt=\"ciencia y amor\" width=\"500\" height=\"174\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>El amor es ciego (pero oye bien)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La noradrenalina y la dopamina funcionan en aquellas zonas de la corteza cerebral asociadas con el an\u00e1lisis de la informaci\u00f3n recibida del exterior, en particular, la informaci\u00f3n visual y auditiva. Mientras que la \u00faltima intensifica el o\u00eddo de los enamorados, la primera distorsiona la percepci\u00f3n visual. Los experimentos tambi\u00e9n se comprobaron en el sentido figurado de este dicho: los brit\u00e1nicos A. Bartels y S. Zeki demostraron que las \u00e1reas asociadas a las emociones negativas tienden a reducirse en los enamorados, y se activan centros del placer, haciendo olvidar todo lo negativo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El amor dura 4 a\u00f1os<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan teor\u00edas establecidas, un plazo aproximado de cuatro a\u00f1os tiene su raz\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica: en los tiempos remotos, de esa manera el padre pod\u00eda proteger a la madre y al hijo en el per\u00edodo de mayor vulnerabilidad: el de la gestaci\u00f3n y lactancia. La antrop\u00f3loga canadiense Helen Fisher, quien estudi\u00f3 varias culturas y tribus, encontr\u00f3 las tendencias de tener hijos cada cuatro a\u00f1os y separarse a los cuatro a\u00f1os del matrimonio, lo que demuestra que las relaciones amorosas se determinan con un ciclo b\u00e1sico reproductor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La fidelidad depende de los genes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores de la Universidad de Binghamton, EE. UU., revelaron que una mutaci\u00f3n en un cierto gen est\u00e1 asociada a la promiscuidad, la infidelidad y las aventuras de una noche. Este gen est\u00e1 vinculado con un receptor de dopamina, la hormona del placer. Sin embargo, cient\u00edficos advierten que no todos los que tienen este genotipo est\u00e1n inclinados a la infidelidad, y el estudio de ning\u00fan modo puede exculpar a los pecadores.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Los hombres, m\u00e1s adictos al sexo que las mujeres<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La famosa psiquiatra estadounidense Louann Brizendine afirma en su libro &#8216;El cerebro masculino&#8217; que los hombres piensan m\u00e1s en sexo que las mujeres. Seg\u00fan la experta, el \u00e1rea del cerebro masculino dedicada a la b\u00fasqueda sexual es 2,5 veces m\u00e1s grande que el de ellas.
