Brea Franco, hizo el anuncio durante rueda de prensa ofrecida en la Sala Ram\u00f3n Oviedo del Ministerio de Cultura, en la que dijo que Vargas Llosa ha garantizado su presencia en el acto donde se le entregar\u00e1 la distinci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Manifest\u00f3 que el laureado escritor peruano est\u00e1 muy entusiasmado por la distinci\u00f3n que recibir\u00e1, por lo tanto, ha asegurado su asistencia al acto, con el cual quedar\u00e1 inaugurada la Feria Internacional del Libro Santo Domingo 2016, que se extender\u00e1 hasta el 2 de octubre y que tiene de escenario la Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte, en el Distrito Nacional.<a href=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/vargas-llosa-recibira-premio-internacional-pedro-henriquez-urena\/vargasllosa_0\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-23502\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-23502\" src=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/vargasllosa_0-e1474316063589.jpg\" alt=\"vargasllosa_0\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Se recuerda que al conocer la decisi\u00f3n del jurado que le otorgaba el galard\u00f3n, el escritor Vargas Llosa remiti\u00f3 una carta de agradecimiento y lo defini\u00f3 como un \u201cgeneroso premio\u201d, pues se le otorgaba pese a haber proferido cr\u00edticas contra el pa\u00eds, a ra\u00edz de la sentencia 68-13 del Tribunal Constitucional en la que se trazaban directrices para el control migratorio en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cQue, pese a ese antecedente, se me conceda este premio habla muy bien del esp\u00edritu democr\u00e1tico, tolerante y abierto que por fortuna parece prevalecer en el pa\u00eds.
