El Met se beneficia, hoy en d\u00eda, de una audiencia mundial in\u00e9dita gracias a las retransmisiones en directo de nuestras producciones en los cines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEstoy especialmente orgulloso de haber visto aumentar el p\u00fablico mundial durante mi gesti\u00f3n.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCuando estaba en el instituto, trabaj\u00e9 como acomodador en el Met, fui productor de cine y de programas de m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica y \u00f3pera para la televisi\u00f3n, he trabajado con los artistas m\u00e1s grandes del siglo pasado, dirig\u00ed la carrera de Vladimir Horowitz, trabaj\u00e9 mano a mano con Herbert Von Karajan. \u00bfSabe? he consagrado mi vida a acercar este arte al m\u00e1ximo n\u00famero de personas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUn buen productor, espero serlo o aspirar a serlo, es alguien que debe pensar con la parte de su cerebro derecho y con el izquierdo. Debes ser creativo y responsable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTenemos mucha suerte de vivir en este mundo, en una \u00e9poca, dir\u00eda, en la que los artistas son conscientes de que para que la \u00f3pera tenga \u00e9xito en el siglo XXI, debe tener una visi\u00f3n est\u00e9tica contempor\u00e1nea. Eso no significa forzosamente que los decorados tengan que ser modernos.
