Concretamente, investigadores de la Universidad de Michigan (Estados Unidos) han comprobado que, independientemente de los argumentos, hablando a un ritmo de alrededor de 3,5 palabras por segundo convencemos mucho m\u00e1s a las personas que nos escuchan que si hablamos m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido o m\u00e1s lento.<\/p>\n<p>Para llegar a esta conclusi\u00f3n, Jos\u00e9 Benki y sus colegas del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Social estudiaron cerca de 1.400 entrevistas telef\u00f3nicas realizadas por 100 hombres y mujeres que intentaban persuadir a sus interlocutores. Tras analizar par\u00e1metros como la fluidez, el tono, la velocidad y las inflexiones de la voz, encontraron que el principal par\u00e1metro a tener en cuenta es la velocidad. As\u00ed, las personas que hablan muy r\u00e1pido se perciben como poco sinceras. Los investigadores encontraron que hacer pausas cortas frecuentes era m\u00e1s eficaz que un discurso fluido.
