Luego de estudios y revisiones diversas, concluyen que \u201c<em>la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica ha demostrado una asociaci\u00f3n entre el uso de juegos de video violentos y todas las variaciones del comportamiento agresivo y la merma de comportamiento prosocial y emp\u00e1tico<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Luego de tiroteos masivos, dice el reporte, han sido los grandes medios y sus periodistas los que han puesto en el tapete la relaci\u00f3n videojuegos-violencia. Desde Columbine en 1999, APA y otras organizaciones han abogado por la regulaci\u00f3n de los videojuegos.<\/p>\n<p>No obstante, la Corte Suprema en el caso Brown v. Entertainment Merchants Association de 2011 determin\u00f3 que el \u201c<em>discurso violento<\/em>\u201d est\u00e1 protegido por la Primera Enmienda. Hay libertad de expresi\u00f3n violenta. Ante este dictamen APA contraatac\u00f3 con m\u00e1s investigaci\u00f3n y dice haber llegado a una conclusi\u00f3n s\u00f3lida sobre juegos de video violentos y comportamientos idem.<\/p>\n<p>De lo que no hay precisi\u00f3n es de si los perpetradores de violencia han sido empujados a ella solo o en buena medida por videojuegos, o es que iban a propiciar la violencia de todas formas. Hay que tener cuidado con las correlaciones. Por ejemplo, la mayor\u00eda de estos adolescentes participa en alg\u00fan tipo de chat misterioso y secreto, pero tampoco hay ligaz\u00f3n necesaria entre violencia f\u00edsica y estos chats.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/los-videojuegos-estimulan-o-no-la-violencia\/videosjuegos1\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-27568\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27568\" src=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/videosjuegos1-e1521278242382.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pero si la pregunta se le hace a <a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2016\/07\/25\/health\/video-games-and-violence\/index.html\">Whitney DeCamp<\/a>, un profesor asociado de la Universidad de Western Michigan, contestar\u00eda que la evidencia no apunta a <em>una relaci\u00f3n entre videojuegos y violencia, o es \u201cinsignificante<\/em>\u201d. Los adolescentes videojugadores que han cometido cr\u00edmenes o acciones violentas simplemente han podido tener predisposici\u00f3n a este tipo de actos. En una investigaci\u00f3n con 6.567 estudiantes de octavo grado encontr\u00f3 que el uso de videojuegos no permit\u00eda predecir la violencia.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, hay otros factores que pueden influir m\u00e1s en el comportamiento agresivo: violencia en el hogar, pobreza, drogas o violencia general en los medios. No es una defensa de los videojuegos violentos, a este cronista le parecen algunos francamente virulentos y crueles, sino un esfuerzo por poner los porcentajes adecuados de causalidad entre videojugeos y comportamientos violentos que puedan llevar a un Columbine o un Parkland.
