Publicada por primera vez en 1979, la segunda novela de Francisco Herrera Luque, la cual es considerada la obra de culto del autor.<\/p>\n<p>Vali\u00e9ndose de la reconstrucci\u00f3n de hechos y personajes hist\u00f3rico, de una exhaustiva y minuciosa investigaci\u00f3n, se consigue crear lo que con seguridad es un libro ambicioso por su complejidad monumental; un fiel y fiero retrato del origen de la estratificaci\u00f3n social en Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9dico-psiquiatra, novelista, ensayista y diplom\u00e1tico, el caraque\u00f1o Luque naci\u00f3 el 14 de diciembre del a\u00f1o 1927, cuando a\u00fan \u00e9ramos Estados Unidos de Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p>Fue hijo de Francisco Herrera Guerrero y Mar\u00eda Luque Carvallo. En 1956 contrae nupcias con Mar\u00eda Margarita Ter\u00e1n Austria, de cuya uni\u00f3n nacieron cinco hijos.<\/p>\n<p>Combin\u00f3 su faceta cient\u00edfica con la literaria, nunca descuid\u00f3 el estudio de los or\u00edgenes de lo venezolano, que en su tesis se develaba estudiando las personalidades de los primeros habitantes de la colonia.<\/p>\n<p>Esa inquietud por conocer los or\u00edgenes de las personalidades de los habitantes de Hispanoam\u00e9rica, lo llev\u00f3 al estudio de la herencia y la gen\u00e9tica. Fund\u00f3 la c\u00e1tedra de psiquiatr\u00eda de la UCV de la cual lleg\u00f3 a ser profesor titular y fue embajador de Venezuela en M\u00e9xico, a mediados de la d\u00e9cada de los setenta.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Como escritor y autor de novelas, su obra hist\u00f3rica est\u00e1 basada en la investigaci\u00f3n veraz y documentada.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Entre sus obras no solo se destaca: \u00a0<strong><em>Los Amos del Valle<\/em><\/strong>, sino que antes escribi\u00f3 <strong><em>Boves, el Urogallo<\/em><\/strong> (1972) y luego <strong><em>La Luna de Fausto<\/em><\/strong> (1983). <strong><em>Los Cuatro reyes de la baraja<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Bol\u00edvar en vivo<\/em><\/strong>, y <strong><em>El Vuelo del Alcatraz<\/em><\/strong>, fueron publicaciones p\u00f3stumas, porque debido a un ataque al coraz\u00f3n, este ilustre personaje de las letras venezolanas, nos dej\u00f3 el 15 de abril de 1991.<\/p>\n<p>seryhumano.com \/ <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/herrera_yosmar\">Yosmar Herrera<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; NOVELA.
