          El concepto\nde \u201cnoticia falsa\u201d o \u201cfalseada\u201d se refiere a las informaciones que faltan a la\nverdad de manera intencionada y que se difunden con el objetivo de confundir.\nUna variante sat\u00edrica la encontramos en las noticias sin sentido que publica el\nperi\u00f3dico digital El Mundo Today<\/em>.\nEspecialmente problem\u00e1ticas son las informaciones falsas que pretenden influir\nsobre temas como las pol\u00edticas de asilo, el virus de la inmunodeficiencia\nhumana, el cambio clim\u00e1tico o las vacunas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfDE D\u00d3NDE\nPROVIENEN LAS NOTICIAS FALSAS?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Existen\nportales de Internet que difunden este tipo de noticias por inter\u00e9s econ\u00f3mico.\nMuchas de estas publicaciones se han creado con la intenci\u00f3n de que generen una\ncantidad masiva de visitas (a trav\u00e9s de la indignaci\u00f3n que provoca un titular,\npor ejemplo). Algunas noticias falsas se expanden por el mundo con el fin de\nalterar el discurso pol\u00edtico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfQU\u00c9\nSE HACE CONTRA ELLAS?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          <\/strong>En Alemania, diversos\nmedios de comunicaci\u00f3n ofrecen la verificaci\u00f3n de los hechos con el fin de destapar\nlas noticias falsas sin demora (es el caso del Faktenfinder<\/em>, programa del canal informativo de la televisi\u00f3n alemana\nTagesschau). En Espa\u00f1a, el programa El objetivo<\/em>,\nde la Sexta, desarrolla periodismo de comprobaci\u00f3n y verificaci\u00f3n de lo que\ndicen los pol\u00edticos y personajes relevantes en sus declaraciones (fact checking<\/em>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Facebook y\nGoogle trabajan con herramientas automatizadas que reconocen e identifican con\nrapidez las noticias falsas. El 30 de junio de 2017, se aprob\u00f3 la ley federal\nalemana sobre el registro de las redes, la cual persigue restringir la\ncirculaci\u00f3n de estas noticias falsas. No obstante, los cr\u00edticos temen que ello limite\nla libertad de expresi\u00f3n, ya que las redes sociales pueden eliminar contenidos\ncontrovertidos por miedo a posibles multas econ\u00f3micas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfCON\nQU\u00c9 FRECUENCIA SE PROPAGAN?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          <\/strong>Durante las elecciones\nde Estados Unidos de 2016, los economistas Hunt Allcott y Matthew Gentzkow\ncontabilizaron m\u00e1s de 100 mentiras a favor de Donald Trump que fueron\ncompartidas por los usuarios de Facebook unos 20 millones de veces. Seg\u00fan el\nestudio, las cerca de 40 noticias falsas que beneficiaban a Hillary Clinton\napenas fueron compartidas ocho millones de ocasiones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
