No pod\u00edan cambiar gran cosa de sus\nvidas, de modo que decidieron, por el contrario, cambiar su actitud hacia la\nvida en s\u00ed. Ciertamente, era el \u00fanico control personal que no les hab\u00edan\narrebatado. Lo que surgi\u00f3 de esa nueva actitud fue una estrategia de desapego\nemocional respecto a la vida. La llamaron <em>aphatia<\/em> (apat\u00eda) y, para los\nestoicos, constitu\u00eda una virtud que les granje\u00f3 m\u00e1s de unas risas en la taberna\ndel pueblo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los estoicos estaban dispuestos a sacrificar algunas formas\nde felicidad (sexo, drogas, y hip-hop dionis\u00edaco) con el fin de evitar la\ninfelicidad que les procuraban sus pasiones (enfermedades de transmisi\u00f3n\nsexual, resacas y rimas espantosas).
