Estudio Ingenier\u00eda de Sistemas en la Universidad Metropolitana y actualmente estoy a un trimestre de terminar mi carrera.&nbsp;<br>En el&nbsp; 2019 me diagnosticaron con linfoma de Hodgkin en etapa IVB. Noticias sombr\u00edas, sin embargo, no me desanim\u00e9, la \u00fanica raz\u00f3n de alg\u00fan desespero era la inc\u00f3gnita de la enfermedad, y eso desapareci\u00f3. Comenc\u00e9 tratamiento inmediatamente gracias al esfuerzo de mi familia y amigos que hicieron posible conseguir lo necesario. Realice 7 ciclos de quimioterapia y luego radioterapia en octubre del a\u00f1o pasado, acompa\u00f1ado siempre de ejercicios de respiraci\u00f3n y meditaci\u00f3n, que no solo me ayudaron a desintoxicar mi cuerpo, sino a conseguir en mi mente la paz y tranquilidad necesaria. Pensamos que ya hab\u00edamos superado la enfermedad y en el \u00faltimo CtPet de control, detectan que hay reca\u00edda. La nueva l\u00ednea de tratamiento requiere de distintas medicinas y un trasplante de m\u00e9dula, implicando nuevos y m\u00e1s altos costos. La lucha por parte de mi familia los llev\u00f3 a gastar los ahorros que ten\u00edamos y ahora necesitamos ayuda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esto resume de alguna manera mi situaci\u00f3n, sin embargo, es mucho m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil resumir la experiencia. Tuve la oportunidad de poner mi vida y la de aquellos que me rodean en distintas perspectivas; de darme cuenta de la importancia de la vida cuando se hacen cosas buenas por los dem\u00e1s. Aprend\u00ed que pedir ayuda no te hace menos digno de recibirla. Las sonrisas salvan vidas y curan corazones. El sufrimiento es tuyo solo si lo eliges. La fe en el amor te pondr\u00e1 la soluci\u00f3n a tus pies. Para m\u00ed no es f\u00e1cil decir c\u00f3mo me siento y redactar para salvar mi vida suena francamente monumental. La idea de hacerlo adem\u00e1s pretendiendo que me escojan a m\u00ed en lugar de a otro me duele m\u00e1s en el coraz\u00f3n que en el orgullo. Justificar mi dolor por encima del de otro es algo dif\u00edcil. Saber que no todos consiguen lo que necesitan es una parte de la realidad mucho m\u00e1s resaltante ahora. No me siento c\u00f3modo pidiendo algo m\u00e1s que un chocolate o un favor peque\u00f1o. Lo que no tengo permitido es rendirme, los sacrificios no pueden ser en vano, y la fe de tantos otros no merece ir sin recompensa. Es una meta que me pongo yo mismo, de ayudar a aquellos que est\u00e1n conmigo para luego hacerlo con otros. Quiero utilizar el conocimiento que tengo para ayudar a otros a vivir vidas dignas y felices, para yo poder tener una vida digna feliz tambi\u00e9n. I am 24 years old and live in Caracas, Venezuela with my parents, my brother and my dog. Young and smart, I found my passion for computers and music. I am an undergraduate in Systems Engineering at the Universidad Metropolitana de Caracas and in my last trimester to culminate my career.<br>In 2019, the doctors diagnosed me with &nbsp;Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma stage IVB.<br>Very dark news, nonetheless I didn\u2019t want to get depressed. The only reason for any desperation was not knowing enough about the illness and that disappeared as I started to fight it. I started treatment immediately thanks to the efforts of my family and friends that made it possible to find everything I needed.&nbsp;<br>I did 7 different cycles of chemotherapy and radiation in October of last year, always accompanied with breathing exercises and meditation. That not only helped me to detox my body but also my mind and to find the necessary calm to keep going.<br>We thought I had surpassed the illness and on the last Ct Scan they detected that it was back. The new course of treatment requires different medications and a bone marrow transplant, which means new and much more elevated costs. The &nbsp;financial fight on my family side took us to spend all of our savings and now we need external help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This s a brief summary of my situation, nonetheless it is much more difficult to describe the experiences. I had the opportunity to place my life and the ones who surround me in different perspective; to learn the importance of life when you do something positive for someone without expectations. I learned that asking for another chance for life doesn\u2019t make you are less worthy of being on the opposite end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smiles save lives and cure hearts. Suffering is only if you choose it. Faith on love will place the solutions at your feet. For me its not easy to say how I feel and to write to save my life sounds frankly monumental. The idea of doing it pretending that I will be chosen hurts me more in my heart than in my pride. To justify my pain above the one of someone else it\u2019s very hard. I don\u2019t feel comfortable asking for help, but what I cannot afford is to give up. &nbsp;The sacrifices cannot be in vain and the faith of so many others cannot go without reward.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a goal that I have set for myself, to help the ones that are with me so then I can do it with others. I want to utilize my knowledge to help others have worthy lives and happiness so I can fulfill one too.
