COMUNICADO DEL CNP ANTE NOTA ACUSATORIA CONTRA UNOS COLEGAS EN EL MARCO DE UNA ESCALADA REPRESIVA DE LAS FUERZAS POLICIALES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"COMUNICADO\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

La Junta Directiva Nacional del Colegio Nacional de Periodistas rechaza categ\u00f3ricamente  la  publicaci\u00f3n contenida  en el portal de noticias de Globovisi\u00f3n, con fecha del 19 de junio de 2020, en donde se se\u00f1ala de forma expresa lo siguiente: \u00abUn detenido y tres pr\u00f3fugos por ser administradores de cuenta de extorsi\u00f3n VVPeriodistas<\/em>\u00bb,<\/strong> (subrayado nuestro) identificando a los colegas Rafael Enrique Garrido P\u00e9rez, CNP 13.270; Rita Eulalia de Martino Chourio, CNP 19151; Marco Aurelio Antoima Magallanes, CNP 5.335; y Luisa Mim\u00ed Arriaga Mantellini, CNP 9.038.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El CNP considera inaceptable que comunicadores sociales, egresados universitarios y que juraron por el C\u00f3digo de \u00c9tica del Periodista Venezolano, se presten al descr\u00e9dito de sus propios colegas, al acusarlos sin pruebas y a priori.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todo enfoque noticioso, incluso para reflejar informaciones donde se relacionen a colegas, por presuntas faltas o delitos, debe apegarse a los est\u00e1ndares y valores de una informaci\u00f3n balanceada y veraz, velando siempre por el respeto de los derechos de los individuos aludidos en caso de falta judicial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La nota en cuesti\u00f3n, sin autor\u00eda expl\u00edcita, viola de forma tendenciosa la presunci\u00f3n de inocencia y el debido proceso como garant\u00edas constitucionales protegidas por el Art\u00edculo 49 de la Carta Magna, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n en los tratados internacionales ratificados por el Estado venezolano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La nota period\u00edstica de Globovisi\u00f3n se adelanta al pronunciamiento del respectivo organismo jurisdiccional que investiga el caso, incluso sin haberse realizado la audiencia de presentaci\u00f3n, sin haber sido escuchados los acusados, sin tener conocimiento de los hechos investigados y sin que los colegas tengan acceso a los medios probatorios para ejercer su defensa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La nota en cuesti\u00f3n contraviene algunos de los art\u00edculos de nuestro C\u00f3digo de \u00c9tica del Periodista Venezolano, como son (resaltado con it\u00e1licas y negritas nuestro):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7                    Art\u00edculo 6.<\/strong> El periodista se debe fundamentalmente al pueblo, el cual tiene derecho a recibir informaci\u00f3n veraz, oportuna e imparcial a trav\u00e9s de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par\u00e1grafo uno:<\/strong> Se entiende por informaci\u00f3n veraz aquella que se elabora a partir de la comprobaci\u00f3n y verificaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n con fuentes id\u00f3neas; y que se concibe y procesa de acuerdo con el apego estricto a la verdad obtenida por el periodista, sin una intenci\u00f3n consciente ni maliciosa de tergiversar los hechos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par\u00e1grafo tres:<\/strong> Se entiende por informaci\u00f3n imparcial aquella que muestra el hecho completo y que no omite deliberadamente partes que pueden hacer que este se comprenda de manera distorsionada. As\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n aquella que presente las diferentes versiones que existen de la informaci\u00f3n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7                    Art\u00edculo 11<\/strong>. El periodista comete falta grave cuando comunica de mala fe acusaciones sin pruebas o ataques injustificados a la dignidad, honor o prestigio de personas, instituciones o agrupaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7                    Art\u00edculo 27.<\/strong> El periodista est\u00e1 obligado a fortalecer el esp\u00edritu de fraternidad, consideraci\u00f3n y respeto mutuo que enaltece la profesi\u00f3n. No deber\u00e1 promover el descr\u00e9dito ni atribuir intereses o prop\u00f3sitos que perjudiquen moral o materialmente a otros colegas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par\u00e1grafo \u00fanico:<\/strong> El trato indigno que afecte a un periodista ser\u00eda motivo de repudio y sanci\u00f3n por parte del gremio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7                    Art\u00edculo 29.<\/strong> El periodista est\u00e1 obligado a prestar apoyo a los colegas que sufran persecuciones o que sean v\u00edctimas de acciones violatorias de las leyes establecidas o de cualquier tipo de represi\u00f3n provocada por el ejercicio o defensa de la libertad de expresi\u00f3n y el derecho de todo ciudadano a la informaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Junta Directiva Nacional del CNP insta a los tribunales disciplinarios seccionales competentes a tomar las acciones que sean pertinentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El CNP, garante y custodio de la libertad de expresi\u00f3n, rechaza asimismo la criminalizaci\u00f3n del hecho de informar o de emitir una opini\u00f3n que se observa diariamente en el pa\u00eds, mediante la persecuci\u00f3n de periodistas y de ciudadanos que ejercen su derecho a la libertad de expresi\u00f3n, garantizada por la Constituci\u00f3n incluso en situaciones de Estado de Excepci\u00f3n o de Alarma, seg\u00fan el art\u00edculo 337, por lo que exhorta a las autoridades policiales y judiciales a detener la escalada represiva contra comunicadores sociales y medios que observamos en estos d\u00edas.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
