Wong, autor principal y Director del Centro Ting Tsung y Wei Fong Chao para BRAIN en el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonmethodist.org\/\">Hospital Houston Methodist.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos han combinado datos gen\u00f3micos del tejido cerebral de pacientes que murieron de Alzheimer, y los compararon con datos generados en modelos de ratones en investigaciones de laboratorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Posteriormente, a trav\u00e9s de un modelo computacional predijeron que OCIAD1 juega un papel importante en la neurodegeneraci\u00f3n progresiva de la enfermedad. Posteriormente validaron OCIAD1 en ensayos celulares, modelos animales de Alzheimer y muestras de tejido humano de Alzheimer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n de Alzheimer se ha centrado tradicionalmente en algunos temas principales: el papel de la prote\u00edna amiloide en la p\u00e9rdida neuronal y c\u00f3mo esta prote\u00edna t\u00f3xica causa lesiones al interactuar con la tau.
