Tiene relaci\u00f3n con varios factores que expondremos a continuaci\u00f3n, aunque, a pesar de haber sido muy estudiada, esta patolog\u00eda contin\u00faa siendo un misterio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"el-deterioro-cognitivo\"><strong>El deterioro cognitivo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La p\u00e9rdida de la memoria, el deterioro de las funciones cognitivas y la desorientaci\u00f3n son los rasgos distintivos de este tipo de demencia. La causa es una degeneraci\u00f3n progresiva de las neuronas, acompa\u00f1ada de p\u00e9rdida de la masa cerebral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"factores-de-riesgo-en-las-mujeres\"><strong>Factores de riesgo en las mujeres<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sabemos que, despu\u00e9s de los 60 a\u00f1os, una de cada seis mujeres la padecer\u00e1, mientras que se presentar\u00e1 en uno de cada 11 hombres. En este sentido, se han identificado algunos factores que pueden ser los responsables de la mayor incidencia de la enfermedad en el <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>sexo femenino. Son los siguientes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Cambios hormonales de la menopausia<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Se ha detectado un riesgo menor en las mujeres que se someten a tratamientos hormonales desde la menopausia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Mayor longevidad del sexo femenino.<\/li><li>La presencia del gen ApoE4 en los hombres hace que estos tengan un riesgo un poco mayor. Sin embargo, en las mujeres se duplica.<\/li><li>Menor gasto card\u00edaco en las mujeres de edad avanzada, lo que resta irrigaci\u00f3n sangu\u00ednea al cerebro y causa deterioro cognitivo.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"la-importancia-de-la-logopedia-y-la-fisioterapia\"><strong>La importancia de la logopedia y la fisioterapia<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La fisioterapia y la logopedia son disciplinas con las que podemos ayudar a las pacientes que padecen este tipo de demencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El objetivo es mantener, en la medida de lo posible, ciertas funciones, entre las cuales se encuentran el habla y la degluci\u00f3n. Los pacientes que cursan con da\u00f1o neuropsicol\u00f3gico, como sucede con el ictus, se someten a evaluaciones m\u00e9dicas integrales para determinar diagn\u00f3sticos e indicar tratamientos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La enfermedad de Alzheimer en mujeres y hombres representa una carga social y familiar.
