Tal fue el \u00e9xito, que su obra est\u00e1 pronta a ser traducida al ingl\u00e9s \u2013a\u00fan no hay informaci\u00f3n de que aparezca en espa\u00f1ol-, por lo que se ha dedicado en las \u00faltimas semanas a dar cuanta entrevista pueda a la prensa brit\u00e1nica y estadounidense.<a href=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/vivir-sin-sexo\/the-art-of-sleeping-alone\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5912\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5912\" src=\"https:\/\/seryhumano.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/\u201cThe-Art-of-Sleeping-Alone\u201d.jpg\" alt=\"\u201cThe Art of Sleeping Alone\u201d\" width=\"177\" height=\"285\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrancamente, pas\u00e9 los primeros 10 a\u00f1os de mi vida adulta, con un sexo decepcionante\u201d, dijo la autora al The Telegraph, para explicar por qu\u00e9 tom\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n de abrazar por un tiempo el celibato, por m\u00e1s que su entorno \u2013inserto en la cultura occidental- pareciera excesivamente sexualizado. Seg\u00fan declar\u00f3, las mujeres no debieran jam\u00e1s bajar sus est\u00e1ndares en cuanto a sus expectativas amorosas y sexuales; y por esto, m\u00e1s vale no tener sexo, que tener mal sexo.<\/p>\n<p>Teniendo una exitosa carrera en el mundo de la moda, Fontanela cre\u00eda tenerlo todo, incluyendo citas fugaces intercaladas con relaciones m\u00e1s duraderas. Recordando una de estas \u00faltimas, coment\u00f3: \u201c(\u00c9l) me despertaba a las 4.30 am o 5 para hacer el amor, noche tras noche, y no le importaba que yo no pudiera volver a dormir despu\u00e9s. Siempre estaba agotada (\u2026) Sin embargo, si yo ten\u00eda que levantarme por la noche para buscar un vaso de agua y lo despertaba, las recriminaciones no acababan\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ten\u00eda 27 a\u00f1os y un pololo que pon\u00eda sus manos al fuego creyendo que la vida sexual que ten\u00eda con Fontanela iba viento en popa. Pero la verdad era otra. \u201cEra mec\u00e1nica, incluso cuando fue placentera\u201d, coment\u00f3 la autora, quien entonces, decidi\u00f3 tomarse unas buenas vacaciones en un centro de esqu\u00ed, para distraerse sola.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u00a1Dormir sola en una cama grande! \u00a1Esquiar sola, a mi propio ritmo! No te puedes imaginar lo feliz que estaba\u201d, le dijo Fontanela a una periodista, para graficar el momento en que se le ocurri\u00f3 que, tal vez, ser\u00eda buena idea dejar de tener vida sexual por un tiempo, despu\u00e9s de a\u00f1os de relaciones que parec\u00edan regirse solo por lo que, entre comillas, se supone que deber\u00eda ser.
