\"Logo<\/a>Eran las 12 de la medianoche, cuando una gran energ\u00eda se dej\u00f3 sentir en la largada de los competidores que salieron el pasado 12 de octubre a enfrentarse con los 80 km, la ruta m\u00e1xima que tuvo el reto deportivo m\u00e1s esperado del a\u00f1o: el ultramarat\u00f3n de monta\u00f1a The North Face Ultra Race Gatorade 2013<\/i><\/b>. Seguidamente, la emoci\u00f3n fue increment\u00e1ndose con la salida, a las 3 de la madrugada, de los ultramaratonistas en 52 km; y 6 de la ma\u00f1ana para los atletas de 21,8 km; finalizando con la alegr\u00eda de las ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os que participaron, desde las 6:45 a.m, en los 2.5 km del Ultra Kids<\/i><\/b>.<\/p>\n

Las elevadas temperaturas que se esperaban este a\u00f1o y superaron los 40 \u00baC, m\u00e1s una alta humedad y un terreno de tierra bastante irregular por la erosi\u00f3n, con desniveles de baja, mediana y alta dificultad, fueron las caracter\u00edsticas que incrementaron el desaf\u00edo para los corredores, pero no impidieron que lograran su meta.\"Corredores<\/a><\/p>\n

Las sorpresas no se presentaron precisamente en las dificultades del terreno y en las condiciones ambientales, sino en el nivel que demostraron tener los atletas participantes. Hubo resultados con remates muy parejos que se dieron en la llegada a la meta y otros tiempos de corredores que lograron distanciarse con gran ventaja de su inmediato competidor. El ganador de los 80 km, Germain Gamboa, atleta The North Face, lleg\u00f3 a la meta en un tiempo de 8:53, rompiendo el r\u00e9cord establecido en 2011 por Jes\u00fas Zerpa, con 9:05. Y en los 80K, Deisis Zarramera, tambi\u00e9n del team The North Face, repiti\u00f3 como ganadora absoluta con un tiempo de 10:45 mejorando el que realiz\u00f3 en 2012 con 11:32.<\/p>\n

Este ultramarat\u00f3n -que fue el primero en realizarse en Venezuela, en 2010, de la mano de Pedro Rodeiro- cumpli\u00f3 su cuarta edici\u00f3n consecutiva con la afluencia de atletas que repitieron y los nuevos que se atrevieron este a\u00f1o. La exigente ruta que recorrieron comprendi\u00f3 la carretera de la Costa que une al Club Oricao con Puerto Maya, siendo el club el punto de llegada y salida de todas las distancias.<\/p>\n

\"Desis<\/a>Para el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o, The North Face<\/i>, en palabras de su brand manager, F\u00e9lix Henr\u00edquez, se compromete a seguir apoyando este tipo de eventos deportivos.
